As everyone knows, there are many different diets, fat loss pills, and magical formulas that promise to shed the pounds without a lot of effort. I am sorry to be the one to tell you this, but there is no magic pill or diet that is going to keep you thin, but only to temporarily shock your body for a short period, and after the diet is over and you go back to the previous eating habits, the weight returns. The magical formula to eating is the total caloric input that your body takes in with relation to the calorie amount burned throughout the day. (This does not mean that you can eat 1,500 calories of candy daily, but with proper protein, carbohydrate, and fat balance in your diet) There is no magical science or special workout that is going to change this principle, but only a set eating schedule with proper nutrition, and a light, moderate, or intense workout, depending upon your goals. The term "you are what you eat" is very true and not just a gimmick.

Eating 4,000 calories in a day and burning 2,000 by sitting around and walking to the store is not going to create the process of fat loss for your body. Your body maintains a set metabolic rate depending upon your current daily calorie burn, and is known as a basal metabolic rate or BMR that can be found in the Fitness Monster Application. This will result in the amount of calories that your body naturally burns from your activities throughout the day.

The next step in the process is to determine what your daily caloric intake is by creating a diet within the Fitness Monster Application and slowly depreciating your calories over time. A pound of fat consists of 3,500 calories, so if you were to take 500 calories from your diet a day, after 7 days, you would have lost a pound of fat or 7 days x 500 calories = 3,500 calories burned in a week, or a pound of fat-loss a week. Depleting 1,000 calories a day from your body is not a healthy strategy and will shock your body which is not effective, so more is not better in this case. Our body's enjoy consistency and do not appreciate change, so do not shock your body, ease into it.

Getting to the gym every day and sweating like crazy is great, but if your diet isn't correct, you will never see results. Let me say that again, if your diet is not correct, you will never see results. I hear on a daily basis about new diets and eating strategies to lose weight that sound downright painful. To maintain that weight loss caused by the diet, the diet must be constant and maintained for the period of your life. Do you want to drink apple cider vinegar or eat NutriSystem's microwave meals for the rest of your life? I hope not because they do not sound pleasing. With proper nutrition, supplementation, and exercise, goals you never dreamed you can attain will be attainable at a much cheaper price than any diet promise.
